Dr. V. Murale, Assistant Professor, Amrita School of Business , Kochi has been awarded with the prestigious Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship Award (ESKAS) for the academic year 2014-2015 for carrying out his post-doctoral studies in the area of Strategic Management at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI, Lugano). The duration of the postdoctorate scholarships is 12 months with the possibility of extension for 6 months.

The Swiss Government, through the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS), awards various postgraduate scholarships to international students and researchers. These scholarships provide graduates from all fields with the opportunity to pursue doctoral or postdoctoral research in Switzerland at one of the public funded university or recognized institution.

His application is accepted after a rigorous selection procedure carried out by the Swiss Government. On an average only 5 % of applicants make it into the selection list. Dr. V. Murale holds a doctoral degree from Anna University, Chennai.
