Mr. Hemal Patel, Senior Vice President of Sophos Operations in India, visited Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus. He gave a talk to the students and faculty members about how to be successful in life and career. He talked about failures and how to consider them as stepping stones to success and how not to take them as a final outcome of one’s effort. He also advised that pain is temporary and will subside eventually. However, pain could become permanent if one did not make the effort to overcome it. He explained that a bit of effort and hard work are the key ingredients to victory. The students and staffs were highly motivated by his inspiring words.

Hemal Patel is responsible for the growth and development strategy of all Sophos Operations in India. He has managed four successful tech start-ups and built global brands like Cyberoam and Elitecore in the domains of network security and telecom. He has vast experience in building technology businesses from scratch and running ISPs in USA, Puerto Rico and India. He was the founder of Eclipse Micro Computer which managed large IT infrastructure projects for US firms like Chase Manhattan Bank, J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch, AT&T and many more.
