The School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, celebrated Teachers’ Day on September 4, 2015, at Brahmasthanam auditorium at 2 p.m. The program started with the institutional prayer followed by lighting of the lamp. Prof. P. M. A. Appukuttan gave the Teachers’ Day message. The highlight of the program was the honouring of two exceptional members of the faculty Dr. Rajesh, HOD, Dept of English and Languages on his being conferred Ph. D. by Bharathiar University and Sri. Shabu K. R., Assistant Professor, Dept of Commerce and Management on his completion of 25 years of teaching career. Prof. P. A. Appukuttan honoured the Director Dr. U. Krishnakumar with a Ponnada. MFA students conducted a short program to pay respect to the teachers. The program ended with Shanthi Mantra and National Anthem.
