We are pleased to announce the initiation of a new research project titled “Wear Analysis of Oil,” led by Dr. Shubrajit Bhaumik, Associate Professor at Amrita School of Engineering, Chennai.

The primary focus of this project is to explore the wear behavior of oils under different conditions. This includes planning the experiments, performing wear analysis, and utilizing microscope image analysis to observe the wear patterns. The goal is to understand how various oils impact the wear properties of the materials they come into contact with, which is critical for improving the efficiency and lifespan of machinery and systems that rely on lubrication.

This research will contribute to advancing our understanding of lubricants and their role in reducing wear and enhancing the performance of mechanical systems.
