Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore (ASB) started the placements for the students of Class of 2017 this month, with the salary per annum running up to Rs. 12 lakhs for international placement. ASB has continued its illustrious legacy and begun the placements early.
“ASB students have made their mark for themselves in the industry. Our 1900+ alumni are working in leading companies across the globe with several of them adorning CXO level roles. They have demonstrated the quality of education that ASB provides,” commented Dr. R. Raghu Raman, Chairman, ASB.
As in the previous year, companies across sectors and geographies are visiting the campus for placements. The industry-leading financial firm Deloitte was the first company to initiate the placement, by selecting four students from Finance specialization. Sajith Karanavar, Sharvani P. M., Shakthi Priya R., and Ankitha Nair Mangalasheril are the students who received placements to Deloitte.
Khimji Ramdas, one of the biggest conglomerates based in Oman, chose two students, Ajay R. Krishnan and Priyanka Anand P. (from marketing specialization), to work for their national and international operations. HDFC chose both Marketing and Finance specialization students. Rufus Arunkumar, Murali Krishnan V., Nekethna M. S., and Rohit R. Krishnan are the students who were selected to HDFC this year.
The technology firm Zoho Corporation continued to hire ASB students by providing two offers this year. Gaurango Banerji secured a package of Rs. 8 lakhs from Zoho, the highest package in the national placements till date this year. Megha R. was also selected for Zoho.
From healthcare and pharmaceutical sector, one of the UK’s leading development stage pharmaceutical companies Vernalis has provided offers. The selection process is in progress.
“Grooming the students with industry-aligned curriculum, competent faculty, and our strong alumni network have resulted in this achievement. We look forward to welcoming more companies and are confident of achieving meritorious placements this year,” Dr. Raman added.
Around 128 students are participating in the placement process this year from ASB Coimbatore. Besides the ongoing placement process, there are pre-placement offers received during summer placements. The school also supports and encourages students in their independent search efforts to find their preferred careers.
The students from other campuses of ASB (Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Kochi) are taking part in the placements as well. Mr. Manoj Kumar P. is the Placement Manager for Coimbatore campus.
