AMRITASMRITI 2023-the Pharma Alumni Meet was conducted on October 28, 2023 at Amrita School of Pharmacy Seminar Hall from 2pm- 5pm in hybrid mode. The meet aimed to provide a platform for alumni to reconnect with each other, network, and engage in fun-filled activities while challenging themselves and cheering their peers. Alumni from various batches of B.Pharm, Pharm D, M.Pharm and PhD attended.

The Alumni Meet started with prayer, seeking the blessings of almighty, by Pharm D 2022 batch. The hosts of the event, Ms. Gowri Vijay and Ms. Gowri Rajesh (Pharm D 2022 Batch) invited the dignitaries to occupy the dais. Dr. Saiprabha V.N., Alumni Coordinator of the School, welcomed all the dignitaries and alumni. The importance of maintaining strong ties with the institution was emphasized. T

To start the occasion on an auspicious note, Principal, Dr.Sabitha M; Chief Guest, Dr.P.G. Nayar (Chief Coordinator of Kochi Campus Alumni Association); Alumni Committee members and two representatives from Alumni proceeded to the dais for lighting the lamp.

This was followed by presidential address by Principal, Dr. Sabitha M. She emphasized the need to maintain a strong connection between the Alumni and the Institution and also the need to reconnect with current students. She also stated the importance of conducting alumni meet every year.

The chief guest of the day was Dr. P.G. Nayar, Chief Coordinator of Kochi Campus Alumni Association. It was great that Madam reminisce about the good old memories and expressed her happiness with us.

This was followed by the recollection of memories by the former teachers of the institution, Dr. Preeja G. Pillai (Principal, Mar Dioscorus College of Pharmacy) and Mrs. Anila K.N. (PhD Scholar, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham). Then, Dr. Sreeja C. Nair, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, presented the recent developments of the Institution, highlighting various milestones reached in the past years.

It was followed by recollection by Alumni. Many alumni (both online and offline) shared their experiences about the college, hostel life and the wonderful moments together, in Amrita. Some of them were Ms. Surapriya S. Prabhu (B.Pharm 2017, M.Pharm 2021 batch), Mr. Muneerudeen (B Pharm 2007 batch), Mrs. Sarada Kolathu (Pharm D 2011 batch).

Various fun games were organized by the Pharm D 2022 batch, as part of the program like dumb charades, riddles, guess the song etc. Most of the alumni took part in the games and the winners were gifted with chocolates.

There was a mind blowing dance performance by Pharm D 2022 batch. The program was concluded by a vote of thanks by Ms. Gowri Vijay and Ms. Gowri Rajesh (Pharm D 2022 batch).

At the end of the program, all the Alumni were rewarded with a return gift by Principal which ended up with a group photo session. Alumni wrote their memories in sticky notes on a memory chart. They took photos near the photo frame and also enjoyed the photo booth. The program concluded by 5.15 PM and tea and snacks were served thereafter.
