Prof. Prema Nedungadi of AmritaCREATE, was an invited speaker at the Vatican conference on “Children and Sustainable Development: Challenge for Education”, held November 13-15, 2015 at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences. She presented Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Amrita RITE (Rural India Tablet enhanced Education) model that was inspired and guided by Chancellor Amma’s vision to provide both ‘education for making a living’ and ‘education for life’ skills.

A one day workshop on Magic of Millets was organized for faculty and staff members of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Coimbatore campus on November 6, 2015. The event was organized by the Food, Nutrition and Health Education Center at Amrita as part of World Food Day celebrations.
The volunteers of Samskriti, the cultural forum of the School of Arts and Sciences, Kochi campus, visited the tribal village near Pooyamkutty and spent two days with the from Novermber 15, 2015.
