Subbalakshmi, Professor, Stevens Institute of Technology (SIT), New York, United States, addressed the students and faculty members of Amrita Center for Cybersecurity Systems and Networks, Amritapuri Campus, via A-VIEW (Amrita Virtual Interactive e-Learning World) on October 14, 2015. The talk was titled “Challenges in Social Media Security and Forensics.”
On February 11th-12th 2016, the classrooms and labs of Amrita School of Biotechnology (ASBT) were deserted– an unusual sighting on most working days. The students, staff, and faculty members were not to be seen in the biotechnology building, but were instead found at the Amritapuri campus sports ground for the annual ASBT Athletic Meet.

GAF 2016 was held in Swapnanagari ground, Kozhikode, Kerala, from 31stJanuary to 4th February 2016. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vision Conclave of the Global Ayurveda Festival.
