The third and fifth semester students of the School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, along with faculty members Prof.C. S. Jayaraman, Dr. K. Balakrishnan and Kannan P. R., participated in a two day acting workshop coordinated by Cochin Film Society from November 19-20. 2016 at Chavara Cultural Centre.

The International Consortium on Landslides (ICL), created at the Kyoto Symposium in January 2002, is an International non-governmental and non-profit scientific organization. The ICL established the International Programme on Landslides (IPL) as a programme of ICL by the 2006 Tokyo Action Plan.

Tony Thomas, 2016 graduate and an alumnus of FOSS @ Amrita, had the opportunity to attend the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) Mentors Summit at Google Tech. A total of 2,524 mentors were involved, and only around 300 of them were invited by Google for the Mentors Summit at Sunnyvale, California.
Encouraged by Chancellor Mata Amritanandamayi, faculty, staff, and students from the Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications (Amrita WNA), the Department of Civil Engineering, the Amrita Center for International Programs and Live-in-Labs® at Amrita University, Amritapuri campus, have implemented a sustainable solution for water collection and distribution at Gudipadu Cheruvu, an ASeRve village.
