The Basket Ball Team (both girls and boys) of Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi, emerged as the champions of Intercampus Basket Ball Tournament, which was held from 13th to 15th October 2017, at the Kochi Campus.
Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, conducted a colloquium on the topic ‘DGCS Concept’ on 8 November, 2017. The session was handled by Mr. A. J. Muralidharan, who is presently working as a Management Consultant and has served in high positions in Veejay Lakshmi Engineering Works Limited and Oswal Group of Companies.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham participated in the 13th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2017, a global conference and exhibition, held at India Expo Center, Greater Noida, National Capital Region from 9th to 11th November, 2017. The theme of the summit was, ‘Leapfrogging to Education 4.0: Student at the core’.
Amrita faculty member, Dr. Rakesh S., Vice Principal, Amrita School of Dentistry, and Head of Department, Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology, Amrita School of Dentistry, Kochi, attended and made a scientific presentation at the 3rd Annual World Pathology Conference at Rome, Italy, held July 8-9, 2017.
A two-day Hands-on Workshop on Python [Programming Tool for Data Science] was conducted from November 7 – 8, 2017. The workshop was hosted by the Computer Science and IT Department of School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, in association with the Computer Society of India [CSI] and Amrita Centre for Research and Development [ACRD].
The women’s athletic team of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus was the runner-up of the Inter Amrita Athletics Championship held at Coimbatore Campus from November 3-5,2017.

AmritaCREATE, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, organized a one-day workshop on Online Labs at Parampara Academic Public School, Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu, on August 25, 2017. The workshop was attended by fifty-five science teachers from nineteen schools participated in the workshop.
A three-day workshop on packaging was held from November 2 – 4, 2017 for the students of final year MA CCA and B. Sc. VM of School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus. The resource person was Sri Prasad N. Krishnan, a freelance Designer.
