Mr. Gurudatt Patra, 1st year, MSc Biotechnology, Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amritapuri, has been selected for the prestigious Khorana Program for Scholars. the internship will be from May 21- July 31, 2018.
Amrita Center for International Programs is happy to announce a summer program at Vrije University, Amsterdam in cooperation with the University of Amsterdam. Vrije University is one of the largest, publicly funded research universities in the city and recognized as the second best university, nationally according to the “CWTS Leiden Ranking”.
A seminar with a hands-on session on “Cloud-Develops” was conducted at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, on March 13, 2018. The resource person for the seminar was Mr. Prathap Parashar and Mr. Ganesh Palaniswamy, Spogworks IT Solutions, Bengaluru.
Second year B. Pharm and Pharm D. students (2016 batch) of Amrita School of Pharmacy visited Milma Dairy, Edappally branch. During the Milma Visit, the students were introduced to the largest lab of India for milk processing and equipment used for quality control.

Biotechnology students of the 2015-2018 batch at Amrita School of Biotechnology qualified the Jawaharlal Nehru University Combined Entrance Examination for Masters in Biotechnology which was conducted on behalf of 32 participating universities in India.
The Department of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care, Amrita School of Medicine, hosted the 4th National Conference in Emergency and Trauma Care, AETLS -18, from 5th to 7th March, 2018.
Amrita Center for International Programs is glad to share the Charpak Scholarships program. The program is run by the Embassy of France in India and is named after French physicist and Nobel prize winner Georges Charpak.
Dr. K. N. Panicker, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Community Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, visited Berlin from February 20 – 23, 2018, to participate in an Advocacy Planning Meeting of Neglected Tropical diseases.
Dr. Balakrishnan Shankar, Associate Dean, School of Engineering, Amritapuri campus, delivered a keynote talk titled “Amrita- Technology for Society” at RTDD 2018 International Conference on Rural Technology Development and Delivery: RUTAG and its Synergy with other initiatives, held at IIT Delhi from March 9th to 11th.
