Two students from the Amrita School of Pharmacy participated and won third prize in ‘LIZQUIZ 2018; an intercollegiate quiz Competition organized by Lisie Hospital, Ernakulam on January 20, 2018.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and the Defence industrial major, L&T, were awarded the TDF certificate on 18th January, 2018, by Defence Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman in Chennai. L&T in collaboration with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will develop the light weight bullet proof materials for the Indian Army.
Sudarsan S, a final year student of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, co-authored a paper titled, “Detection of a Westward Hotspot Offset in the Atmosphere of Hot Gas Giant CoRoT-2b”, which was published in the Nature Astronomy journal, on January 22, 2018.
Amrita’s research work has been selected as editor’s choice for the upcoming February 2018 issue of the British Medical Journal (BMJ), Archives of Disease in Childhood (Impact factor 3.27).

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham secured top honours in Computer Society of India (CSI) Annual Convention 2017, for the second consecutive year, held at Science City, Kolkata from 19 to 21 January, 2018. Amrita received 10 national awards from CSI, more than any other university or institution in India.
