On January 4, 2019, Dr. Balamurugan S., Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, has been awarded ‘National Innovative Teacher Award’ by the Honourable Minister of HRD, Shri. Prakash Javadekar, at a national awards ceremony conducted in New Delhi.

Dr. Lekshmi R. Nath, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy, Amrita School of Pharmacy, Health Sciences campus, Kochi, was awarded the Bharat Vikas Award 2018 by the Institute of Self Reliance, Bhubaneswar, for her loyalty, diligence and outstanding performance in the field of Cancer Chemoprevention.
The Department of Computer Science, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, organized an orientation on “Cyber Security” on January 28, 2019, with Mr. Abhishek M. J. (Founder of Start-up Cyber Security Company – NeOnSec, Mysore and Member Team-BIOS, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus) as the resource person.
