Ms. Akshara Kumar, a second-generation entrepreneur, addressed the students of the Entrepreneurship Club of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru, on ‘What it takes to be an Entrepreneur’ on February 6, 2019.
As part of National Traffic Awareness Week, ie, February 4 – 10, 2019, the Department of Management & Commerce, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeeetham, Mysuru, in association with Yuva & Traffic Police of Mysuru city took an active part in the awareness drive HNOP (Horn not OK Please).

In the session organized by Amritadarshanam – International Centre for Spiritual Studies in association with AYUDH Amritapuri chapter, Shatavadhani Dr. R. Ganesh explored the meaning of the name Krishna and illustrated Krishna’s role as a social reformer.
The Department of Management & Commerce, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru, initiated an ‘Entrepreneurship Club’ on February 5, 2019, to support and guide enthusiastic students to convert their innovative ideas into successful business ventures.
Two students from Amrita Health Sciences campus, Ms. Rakhi Krishna of 5th year Pharm D., School of Pharmacy, and Mr. Shankar S. Menon of 3rd year BDS, School of Dentistry, have entered the grand finale of “Speak for India Kerala Edition 2018” debate competition.
Dr. Vandana K. Vasudevan, third year PG Scholar from the Department of Prasutitantra and Streeroga, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, won first prize for presenting scientific paper at “Prajnanam 2019” – National Seminar on Management of Infertility in Ayurveda, organised by Amrita School of Ayurveda from February 1-2, 2019.
The students of Int. M. Sc. Visual Communication (Semester 4) and BBM (Semester 6) of School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, attended a lecture presentation on the topic ‘Significance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its Transformation to Individual Social Responsibility’ on February 4, 2019.
The Department of Education, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, organized a guest lecture on ‘Neuro-Psychiatric Disorders on stage’ by Dr. R. Poornima (Director ‘Childrens’ Literacy Club, Mysuru) on February 2, 2019.
Dr. Anisha Ashokan, second year MD Resident in Microbiology, School of Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, won the ‘Best Poster Award’ in the CME on “Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance” at Government Medical College, Palakkad, held on February 2, 2019.
