Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Purdue University (USA) jointly organized an Online Distinguished Lecture on the topic “Cyber-Physical-Sentient Systems – The Intersection of Humans, Robots, AI and IoT” on February 15, 2022 from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm IST.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Richard Voyles, Head of the Collaborative Robotics Lab at Purdue, Professor and Director of the Robotics Accelerator, Purdue University, USA.
Summary
The event commenced with introductory remarks and welcome address, followed by a presentation by Dr. Richard Voyles, Head of the Collaborative Robotics Lab at Purdue, Professor and Director of the Robotics Accelerator, Purdue University who discussed the following : Computer Networks, Information cloud, Collaborative Robots, IoT, CbD framework, Cyber-Physical-Sentient Systems etc. He also spoke about Aerial Robots, Precision Agriculture, CPS Networking as well as Cognitive Awareness. Subsequently, there was an Interactive session with Amrita faculties and students, where they cleared all their queries with Dr. Richard Voyles. The event was concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Rajesh Kannan, Head, Amrita Center for Advanced Robotics, Director, Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs, and Associate Professor, ECE Dept, Amrita School of Engineering. Approximately 230 participants including students and faculties from the Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, EEE, EAC, Computational Engineering and Networking, CSE-AI, Cybersecurity, Robotics And Automation, Ammachi Labs, Civil Engineering, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Biomedical Engineering, WNA, Power and Energy, Biotechnology, BCA, School of Agriculture, School of Business, Amrita Create as well as various other disciplines from Amritapuri, Bangalore, Mysore, Kochi, Chennai & Coimbatore campuses attended the event.
