We are pleased to announce a new and exciting research project, “Tribological Analysis of Graphene Lubricants,” led by Dr. Shubrajit Bhaumik, Associate Professor at the Amrita School of Engineering, Chennai. This project aims to investigate the wear analysis of graphene based lubricants, a promising innovation in the field of materials engineering. Graphene, known for its unique properties, could revolutionize lubrication technology by improving efficiency, reducing wear, and extending the life of mechanical systems.
The project is funded by Terracarb Pvt Ltd. Dr. Bhaumik’s research will delve into the exciting world of nano-lubricants, with a focus on graphene-based formulations. By designing and conducting precise tribological experiments, he aims to uncover the remarkable properties of these advanced materials.
For instance, by analyzing the friction and wear behavior of graphene-lubricants, Dr. Bhaumik hopes to demonstrate significant improvements in efficiency and durability. Additionally, the project will explore the potential of graphene lubricants in reducing energy consumption and fuel consumption in high-performance engines.
The ultimate goal is to produce a detailed analysis report that highlights the exceptional performance and wide-ranging applications of graphene lubricants, paving the way for a future with more efficient and sustainable machinery.
We wish Dr. Bhaumik and his team success in their investigation into graphene lubricants and look forward to seeing the valuable insights this research will bring to the field of tribology.
