Amrita School of Pharmacy welcomed its new batch of B. Pharm. students on July 21, 2014. The commencement of the incoming batch of B. Pharm. program was inaugurated by Dr. Shantikumar V. Nair, Dean of Research, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Bri. Karunamrita Chaithanya graced the occasion by lighting the lamp. Dr. Sabitha M., Principal, Amrita School of Pharmacy delivered the welcome address. A few senior students shared their experiences. Ms. Roshni P. R., Senior Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy Practice, Amrita School of Pharmacy delivered the vote of thanks.

The B. Pharm. program offered at Amrita is a versatile interdisciplinary program preparing graduates with a sound knowledge and understanding of the science, technology, and practice of pharmacy. The core subjects of B. Pharm. include Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy and Pharmacy Practice. The first batch of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) students commenced their academic programme in 2005 paving the way for a seamless transition.

The Amrita School of Pharmacy is recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and other statutory bodies and agencies.
