Navaratri is celebrated to honor the divine feminine. The festival’s nine nights are dedicated for the worship of the different aspects of Shakthi. The first third of Navaratri focuses on aspects of goddess Durga, the second third on goddess Lakshmi, and the final third on goddess Saraswati. Offerings are often made and rituals are performed during this period.
An auspicious Saraswati Pooja was held at Amrita School of Pharmacy on October 20, 2023 as part of Navaratri celebrations. The pooja was led by Sampoojya Swami Purnamritananda Puri, General Secretary, Mata Amritanandamayi Math. All students and staff actively participated in meditation, pooja and bhajans followed by prasad distribution.
