National Plastic Surgery Day was observed with various events at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences on July 15, 2016. Activities included performing pooja to the statue of Saint Sushrutha, Father of Plastic Surgery, situated in the hospital premises and an exhibition.

A scientific exhibition of different wings of plastic surgery was held at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr. Sundeep Vijayaraghavan, Professor, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, organised the exhibition. Dr. Sanjeev K. Singh, Medical Superintendent; Dr. Subramania Iyer, Professor and Head of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and President Indian Plastic Surgery Association; Dr. Mohit Sarma, Professor, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences; Dr. Kishore, Associate Professor, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr. Manohar participated in the program.
