The Student Activity Centre of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is buzzing with pride as ‘dotwavprojekt’, a music band from the college, clinched top positions at the NAKSHATRA’24 National Level Techno-Cultural Fest held on March 2, 2024, at Saint Gits College of Engineering, Kottayam.
In a fierce competition that celebrated musical prowess, the band emerged victorious by claiming the first position in the Rock Music category, earning them a prestigious cash award of Rs. 25,000. Additionally, the band showcased their versatility by securing the second position in the Unplugged Strings category, accompanied by a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
The awards ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of Mr. Alphons Joseph, renowned Indian music director and playback singer, who not only graced the event as the chief guest but also served as a judge for the competition. Mr. Joseph presented the awards to the talented members of dotwavprojekt, adding a touch of glamour and recognition to their outstanding achievements.
The winning lineup includes Akula Venkat Harshit, S Hariharasubramaniam, Neehar Chandran, Sradha C Jayaram, Aaditya R Narayan, Sidharth V, Ashish J, Rijo V Thomas, Aravind M Kartha, from the School of Engineering.
