An Amrita CREATE team visited the Attapadi tribal area, Kerala, on 27th and 28th June 2022. Attapadi is nestled in a mountain valley beside the Bhavani River below the Nilgiri Hills of the Western Ghats. The team was comprised of members from different projects related to RITE rural projects, Language Studies, and OLabs.

During the visit, an memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with the Sri Vivekananda Medical Mission (SVMM) Group to facilitate smooth collaboration for outreach among tribal youth in schools, youth clubs, and tribal hamlets.

The team also visited a tribal hamlet in the hills, and other outreach activities were carried out. Additionally, a training session on OLabs for teachers in Malliswaran Vidya Nikethan School (SVMM) and Model Residential School of STDD, Government of Kerala, was also organized.
