The Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s AMMACHI Labs on June 15, 2020, engaging the research center as a Knowledge Partner for its skill-training initiatives in Karnataka. With a goal to reduce the skill gap in the state, Skill Development Entrepreneurship and Livelihood (SDEL) Department under the KSDC launched kaushalkar.com in 2017. The courses offered through this portal aim to empower and qualify the unemployed youth and marginalized communities for employment opportunities. As KSDC’s knowledge partner, AMMACHI Labs will be engaged in several areas such as sharing e-content resources, e-content development, training services, and other technical services. KSDC aims to design, develop and implement various skill-training programs in Karnataka based on emerging trades, multi-skills, distance learning programs, livelihood training, as well as on initiatives such as Modular Employable Skills, etc.
