Yoga classes for the newcomers was held at the School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa VIdyapeetham, Kochi campus auditorium through many sessions. Dr. U. Krishnakumar, Director of the School, initiated the classes. All the first year UG and PG students attended the classes. Faculty members Smt. Supriya Rajendran, Smt. Sonia Chellirian, Sri. Arunkumar and Smt. Gaina were the other trainers. Getting motivated from the training, two teams participated in the District level competitions of “PATANJALI Yoga Olympiad” which was held in our campus on October 3. More than 500 students from 30 institutions participated in the Olympiad.
