Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M) conducted a national level quiz competition, Mahindra Auto Quotient (AQ) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Bengaluru campus on 11th and 12th February 2015. This is a unique quiz for auto enthusiasts and has established its position as India’s largest automotive quiz, where students showcase their passion for automobiles. This year’s theme was “Sustainability in Automobiles.”
Prior to the event date, a set of programs were held to increase student awareness. Those activities included, but were not limited to; flash Mob, group discussions amongst the various student clubs, posters creations, displaying the posters at the campus premises, preliminary quizzes, photo walk, registering of final teams, feeding the Youtube link and updating Facebook.
On day one, a presentation delivered by M&M was attended by 56 students. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session and an aptitude test. The students grouped themselves into two per team and out of 28 teams, 12 teams were selected for the second session. Caselets were also provided to the teams by Mahindra personnel on various topics pertaining to the subject topic.
On 12th evening, after the initial congregation, teams were asked to proceed to take up the track event and also deliver presentations based on their caselets. The team comprising of students of the department of Mechanical Engineering, Nikil and Arun G. K. were judged the winners, based on their presentation, and they will be provided with an internship opportunity. At the track event, the team comprising Ragul P. and Susharnas were declared the winners. They will be given an opportunity to take part in the Mahindra Off Road Academy Training School.
