Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus and alfaTKG Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan) have signed an MoU and have two ongoing collaborative projects in the fields of Robot Motion Planning and Automatic Development of 3D models from 2D Orthographic Views through Dr.Rajeevlochana Chittawadigi (Asst. Prof., Amrita Bengaluru) and his team.

To take their collaboration to the next level, Amrita-alfaTKG Smart Manufacturing Lab was inaugurated by Mr. Toshio Takagi (CEO) and Dr. Thanapandi Periasamy (CTO) of alfaTKG on Jan 23, 2024. The inauguration was presided over by Dr. Sriram Devanathan (Principal of Amrita School of Engineering).

The newly inaugurated lab shall be used to develop cloud-based solutions to improve the productivity of industrial operations involving Sheetmetal and Robots.
The student community at Amrita Bengaluru shall also be benefitted as they get to work on Industry relevant projects and thus making them future ready
