The Department of Visual Communication, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, celebrated International Women’s Day with the theme “Press for Progress” on March 8, 2018. The M. Sc. Visual Communication and B. Sc. Visual Media students performed an interactive puppet show which focused on women’s empowerment along with a contemporary thematic dance.

A handprint art signature was raised on a signboard to impress upon the theme “Press for Progress”. Many students and staff showcased their support by leaving their hand impression with various colors. The students also produced a one-minute video on “A Tribute to Womanhood”, marked with team efforts towards scripting and production within a day and the same was uploaded on the facebook page.
