Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science), the global leader in trusted insights and analytics for research and innovation, announced the 6th edition of the India Research Excellence-Citation Awards-2017, recognizing and honouring research excellence in the country on different fields and Dr. R. Jayakumar, Professor at the Centre for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, has received this award under the “Medical & Health Sciences” discipline. The awards were held at Sheraton, New Delhi, on November 3, 2017. 

This award recognizes the most influential researchers for their outstanding and pioneering research contribution to the country, based on highly cited research publications implying high impact research.

Prof. R. Jayakumar was given this award considering his research output in the form of high impact publications, which fetched more than 8500 citations during the period between 2012 and 2016 in the Medical & Health Sciences discipline.
