A hands-on workshop on Pharmacokinetic Data Analysis, using Phoenix WinNonlin, was conducted at Amrita School of Pharmacy from January 9-10, 2017. The main goal of the workshop was to analyze pharmacokinetic data and to interpret PK parameters using the Phoenix WinNonlin software. Dr. Vijayanarayana K., Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Ms. Meennakshi Srinivasan, Pharm. D. intern, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, were the trainers.
The two-day workshop consisted of introductory lectures, followed by training on software using the data sheets provided. Data analysis covered non-compartmental analysis, non-parametric superposition, compartmental modeling and bioequivalence studies. At the end of the programme, feedback was collected from participants and many shared their experiences. All the participants expressed that they benefited from the workshop and are confident in their ability to use the software and were given certificates. Dr. Sabitha M., Principal, Amrita School of Pharmacy, urged the participants to utilize the software to the maximum in their research and academics and she expressed her hope that the workshop will prove to be productive.
