The 27th graduation ceremony at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Kochi campus was a moment of pride, inspiration, and celebration as students came together to receive their hard-earned degrees. Addressing the gathering, Shri D.V. Swamy IAS, Chairman of the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), urged graduates to view challenges as opportunities for growth and transformation. “The ability to adapt and turn obstacles into opportunities is what defines a leadner,” he said, inspiring the young graduates to face the uncertainties of the future with courage and determination.
The ceremony brought together graduates not only from the Kochi campus but also from Amrita’s campuses in Chennai, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Amritapuri, and the Ahead Online program. Each graduate was celebrated for their journey of learning, resilience, and commitment.
In a heartfelt video message, Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Chancellor of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, reminded the students of their unique role in shaping a better world. “Do not miss the precious opportunities to put your knowledge into action. Think beyond your own needs and consider what you can do for the welfare of the world,” she encouraged, leaving the graduates with a message of compassion and responsibility.
Swami Poornamritananda Puri, General Secretary of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, delivered the benedictory address, offering blessings and words of wisdom. Other dignitaries shared their insights and congratulatory messages, including Dr. Prem Nair, Provost & Group Medical Director of AIMS; Dr. Gireesh Kumar K.P., Principal of Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi; M.V. Thampi, Chief Program Administrator, ACAHS; Dr. K. Sankaran, Registrar; Dr. Dandapani R., Controller of Examinations; Dr. Sajitha Krishnan, Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry; and Dr. Balagopal Varma R., Principal of Amrita School of Dentistry.
Among the many milestones celebrated that day, 23 scholars received their Ph.D. degrees, while a total of 492 graduates were conferred degrees in diverse disciplines such as Allied Sciences, Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Ayurveda, Nanoscience, MD/MS, and Arts and Commerce. Exceptional achievers in each field were honored with medals, recognizing their dedication and excellence.
