Amrita Center for Research in Analytics & Technologies for Education (AmritaCREATE) celebrated Gokulashtami, also known as Sri Krishna Jayanthi- the birth of Shri Krishna with great zeal and splendor at its Education Centers across India.
The tiny tots dressed up as Krishna, Radha and the cowherds of Vrindavan. They enacted the various scenes from the Life of Sri Krishna. Students enthusiastically participated in Uriyadi or Dahi Handi- an event where a pot filled with buttermilk is placed at a convenient height and children try to break the pot with a stick. This is in remembrance of the legend where Krishna would steal butter along with his cowherd friends.
A parade was also organized by the teachers at the Education Centers which was accompanied by devotional singing.
