Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) supports several universities pan-India regarding knowledge exchange and hosting academic delegations, who visit the campus to study the university’s best practices. As part of this IQAC mentoring program, a team of 3 faculty members from Kerala visited the IQAC of Amrita’s Coimbatore campus to study the best practices of the university on 26 November 2024. The team interacted with Dr. K. Sankaran, Registrar and Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Vice-Chairman, IQAC and consisted of Dr. Radhika K., Associate Professor in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam; Dr. Anurenjan Purushothaman, Assistant Professor in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Government Engineering College, Idukki, and Dr. Anish K. John, Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering, Government Engineering College Barton Hill, Trivandrum. Dr. Prashant R. Nair showcased various best practices of AMRITA such as the systematic record-keeping system, and the Department Academic Advisory Committee (DAAC) for OBE. The team also visited Corporate & Industry Relations (CIR) and various departments and centres of excellence at the Coimbatore campus. This visit was organized as part of UDYAMA 1.0 (Industry-Academia Government Conclave organized by the Department of Technical Education, Kerala to explore collaborative opportunities, share insights on academic practices, and learn more about the university’s facilities, research centres, and ongoing projects.
