On March 23, 2017, an 18 member team consisting of senior officers and crew members including a Lady officer of the Naval Command, representing INS Valsura, visited the School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus.
They were on an expedition covering 6000 km through the coast of India and interacting with the public including students. They were commemorating the 75th year (Platinum Jubilee) service to the nation by the ship INS Valsura. Navy team was given a rousing welcome in an informal function. Swami Purnamritananda Puri blessed and presented mementos to the Navy team led by Commanding Officer Commodore Indrajith Das Guptha and Team Leader Commander Hari Padmanabhan. It was a memorable experience and exposure for the students. There was a video presentation on Indian Navy followed by Question– Answer session on the experiences and career guidance for serving Navy.
