Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences conducted a one day symposium on “Evidence Based Medicine” on July 24, 2016. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Srinivas Merugu, Medical Director, United Health Care, Cleveland (USA). Dr. Prem Nair, Medical Director, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr. Chakravarthy (Chairperson) spoke on the occasion.

The symposium gave an overview of how to navigate through medical research papers, assess medical evidence and also gave updates on key medical specialties like Nephrology, Critical Care, Infectious Disease and Gastroenterology. The program was attended by consultants, physicians, residents and medical students. The event had faculty members from USA, UK and also eminent speakers from India.
