Dravya Prabodhini, a series of monthly educational programs organized by the Department of Dravyaguna, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, covers a wide range of interesting activities like guest lectures, field trips to gather deep knowledge about the subject and knowledge sharing sessions with eminent scholars from allied sciences.

In the seventh series of Dravya Prabodhini, conducted on August 30, 2019, Dr. Linda Louis, Assistant Professor in Biochemistry, St.Xavier’s College for Women, Aluva, was the invited speaker. The topic of the session was “Authentication of Medicinal Plants using Molecular Biology Techniques”. It was a very informative session on how the different techniques in molecular biology facilitate the medicinal plant authentication.

The program was attended by PGs and UG students from Amrita School of Ayurveda.
