The first year students of Department of Management, Amritapuri (Kollam), emerged as the winner of the business plan competition, Chakravyuh 2017, a business plan competition and business quiz competition, organized by Department of Management, Kochi Campus. The competition offered prize money worth 65K. The event held at the Kochi campus on December 7, 2017, as the part of seventh edition of ASTHRA, the annual management festival of Kochi MBA programme.
The business plan competition was conducted in collaboration with Amrita TBI. Out of 92 registered teams, 10 teams were selected for the final presentation and two teams were selected as winner and runner-up by the jury, which consisted of Mr. Sujai G. Pillai, Senior Manager, Amrita TBI, Mr. Hari P. K. and Mr. Gopikumar V., Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Kochi.
The winning team named D-CHOCO of Department of Management, Amritapuri (Kollam), consisted of Mr. Govind Unnikrishnan Nair, Mr. Jobin Jacob, Mr. Karthikeyan G. M., Mr. Jishnu Sidharth and Ms. Gopika Gopan, the first year students of the campus.
“We as a team decided to develop a product which will be market competitive and socially committed. We worked on an idea to develop a chocolate candy with papaya leaf extracts. The assignment from the academic perspective helped us to think professionally and to divide works of our interests among ourselves and to execute ideas professionally. Each team member’s dedication got counted,” commented the first year management students of Department of Management, Amritapuri (Kollam), who won business plan competition at Chakravyuh 2017.
