On January 2, 2020, teachers and students from the Department of Management, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, held a “Clean Kochi” campaign in Edapally, Kochi.

The students, through the campaign, aimed to raise awareness and encourage action for the protection of our environment from plastic pollution. They also urged the government, industries, communities and individuals to come together and explore sustainable alternatives and to reduce the production and use of single-use plastic that pollutes the environment and threatens human health.
Plastic pollution is an enormous environmental and health hazard faced by the world. A clean and green plastic-free environment can be created by continuous and dedicated effort. The students, along with their teachers, gathered at Edapally, Kochi, and collected plastic waste from various locations. They also displayed posters and slogans to spread their message in society.
