A high-level delegation from the University of Twente, Netherlands, visited Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore on 7 February 2017. The visit was a part of a high-level meeting at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and was reciprocal to the team visit by the faculty members of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducted to their campus earlier.
In the meeting held at ASB, the delegates examined the research activities of the management campus, shared their research and academic backgrounds, and interacted with the corresponding researchers in the b-school. Dr. R. Raghu Raman, Chairman, Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore, chaired the session.
The team of delegates comprised of 10 faculty members from Strategy and Policy, and Marketing departments of the University of Twente. Prof. Paul Havinga, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science; Mr. Deepak Tunuguntla, Faculty of Engineering Technology; Dr. Genie Stoffels, Laboratory of Thermal Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Technology; Mr. Sarthak Misra, Faculty of Engineering Technology; Mr. Ciano Aydin, Faculty of Behavioral, Management and Social Sciences (BMS), Chair & Director of Education, Department of Philosophy; Ms. Irna van der Molen, Centre for Risk Management, Safety and Security; Drs. Sander Lotze, Head of Internationalization; Mrs. Marlies Overbeek, Marketing Dr. Deepak Gupta, Professor, Marketing, and Dr. P. Balasubramanian, Associate Professor, Finance participated in the interaction. Mr. Manoj P., Chairperson, Amrita School of Business, Bengaluru, and few members from Amrita Center for International Programs, Kollam, also joined the meeting held at ASB.
The visit bolstered the global interaction with Netherlands and boosted the student/faculty research collaboration of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
