On September 19, 2022, Dr. Marilyn Walker delivered an engaging session: Cultural Anthropology and Indigenous Ways of Being: Theory, Methodology, Ethnography from fieldwork in North America, Siberia, Mongolia, Southeast Asia, India.

Dr. Walker’s seminar provided unique insights and knowledge on Cultural anthropology and gave perspectives on societies and cultures, including their customs, beliefs, and social norms, through fieldwork and comparative analysis. She reiterated that cultural anthropology can help us better understand and appreciate the diversity of indigenous ways of being, as well as the ways in which these ways of life have been impacted by colonialism, globalization, and other social forces. Her thought-provoking talk and discussion was truly inspiring.

Dr. Walker is now retired as Professor Emeritus from Mount Allison University, Canada.
