A one-day CDE on “Critical Appraisal of Scientific Article and How to Make an Effective Presentation” was conducted at Amrita School of Dentistry on May 14, 2019, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. The resource person was Dr. Nagesh Laxminarayan (Professor and Head, Department of Public Health Dentistry, Dayanand Sagar Dental College, Bengaluru).
The sessions focused on the need for critical appraisal of a scientific article and how to perform a systematic appraisal. A hands-on session was also arranged for practical training purposes. The CDE was attended by 56 participants comprising of postgraduate students and faculty members. The participants opined that the sessions were useful for their academic progress and understanding.
