The inauguration ceremony for the 2019 academic batches of B. Pharm., Pharm.D, M. Pharm. and Pharm..D. (PB) of Amrita School of Pharmacy was organized at Amriteshwari Hall, AIMS Kochi on August 7, 2019.

The program had Dr. Mark J. Stevens (Managing Director, Life Sciences Navigant) as the Chief Guest and Dr. K. S. Radhakrishnan (Former Vice-Chancellor, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady) as the Guest of Honour. The ceremony commenced at about 09:30 am with a video presentation about ‘Embracing the World’. The inaugural ceremony started with Prayer and Pooja by Bri. Karunamrita Chaitanya.

Dr. Sabitha M., Principal of Amrita School of Pharmacy, delivered the welcome address with a brief introduction about the University and the School followed by a presidential address by  Dr. Shantikumar Nair, Dean Research of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. It was officially inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Dr. Mark J. Stevens. and Dr. K. S. Radhakrishnan delivered the inaugural address and guest of honour address respectively. They also distributed diary and pen to all students of the new batch.

A tribute to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chancellor Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Amma, was done by the choir group. Then “Amritian’s View” A section with videos of Alumni view was presented by Ms. Anila K. N., an Alumni and current faculty at Amrita School of Pharmacy. The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Umadevi K. P., Head of Pharmacology Department, Amrita School of Pharmacy.
