Researchers from Amrita Center for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine won Best Poster and Oral Presentation Travel Awards at the International Conference on Nanotechnology ‘Nano Today 2015’ at Dubai, from 5th-9th December, 2015.
Dr Girish C. M. received the ‘Best Poster Award’ for his paper titled “Nanostructured surface enhanced Raman scattering based rapid detection and grading of oral cancer with high accuracy.” Subramanya Iyyer, Dr. Krishnakumar Menon, Dr. Shantikumar V. Nair and Dr. Manzoor Koyakutty are the co-authors of the paper.
Dr. Anusha Ashokan received the ‘Oral Presentation Travel Award’ for her paper titled “Theragnostic biomineral nanoparticles for MRI assisted radiofrequency ablation of Cancer.” Vijay Harish, Sidharamana Gowd, Giridharan LM, Reshmi P, A K. K. Unni, Dr. Shantikumar V. Nair, Dr. Manzoor Koyakutty are the co-authors of the paper.
Senior Research Fellows pursing PhD at Amrita Mr. Ranjith Ramachandran and Giridharan L. M. also received travel awards from Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), respectively for presenting posters at the conference.
