The IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) and IEEE Power and Energy Society & IAS student branch chapters of Amrita School of Engineering (ASE), Bengaluru, organized a talk on the subject, “Industrial Exposure to Electrical Engineers”, by Dr. B. Hariram Sathish on July 29, 2017.

Dr. B. Hariram Sathish is presently serving as the Principal Scientist in the Research Department at ABB, GISL Bangalore. Before joining ABB, Dr. Hariram worked with MOOG India Technology Centre, Commercial Aircraft Division as a Senior Technical Head.

The introductory speech was delivered by Mr. Soumendra Kumar Mishra, Secretary of IEEE PELS, Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore. The speaker Dr. B. Hariram Sathish presented technical talk about Aerodynamics and its control. He gave an overview on technological demands and also an insight into fascinating fields of aero and power industries. He shared his past experience in the aerodynamics field and discussed the forces, motions and the primary control surfaces of aircraft, as well as a glimpse of flight control.

Dr. B. Hariram Sathish ended his talk by providing the summary of various algorithms, languages, testing and control of the system. The session was concluded with vote of thanks and felicitation of the speaker. The talk was very interactive and indeed an educational experience for the students.
