Dr. Onkar N. Tiwari, Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India spoke as our invited guest at the Coimbatore campus Amrita Research & Innovation Symposium for Excellence (ARISE) 2024 – a grand confluence of brilliance, innovation, and compassion, aimed at transcending disciplinary boundaries to collectively address the challenges facing our society, nation, planet, and nature.

The keynote by Dr. Onkar N. Tiwari, Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India was delivered online and attended to by Amrita faculty and staff.

400+ Amrita faculty members and researchers participated and 6 grand challenges were discussed. University Registrar, Dr. Sankaran, Amrita Deans, Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dr. Nava Subramaniam, Dr. K. P. Soman, Dr. V. P. Mahadevan Pillai and others participated and addressed the gathering. The ARISE event was coordinated by Amrita Provost, Dr. Maneesha Ramesh and the team from Provost office. Pujya Swami Tapasyamritananda Puri participated at the inauguration ceremony. Dr. S Mahadevan, Principal, School of Physical Sciences delivered the vote of thanks at the inauguration.
