The Amrita Research & Innovation Symposium for Excellence (ARISE 2024) united top academics, researchers, and industry experts to explore innovations and address global challenges.
Held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati Campus, this two-day event concluded on June 4, highlighting the university’s commitment to advancing research and encouraging collaboration.
The symposium began with an Inaugural Address by Dr. Maneesha V. Ramesh, Provost of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Attendees were welcomed by M.S. Vijayendra, Campus Director, and received a special message from Chancellor Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (AMMA). Dr. Raghu Raman, Dean of the Amrita School of Business, delivered a Felicitation Address.
Keynotes on the first day included Dr. K.N. Satyanarayana, Director of IIT Tirupati, discussing interdisciplinary research, and Dr. Deepti Vepakomma, Dean (Research) at AIIMS Mangalagiri, presenting developments in medical research.
The event featured TCA Round Table discussions on “One Health” and “Information, Intelligence, & Immersion,” promoting idea exchange and strategy formulation.
Day two included keynotes from Shri Sanjeev Jain, Wipro Executive Committee member; Dr. Venu Govindaraju, Vice President at SUNY Buffalo; and Dr. Konga Gopikrishna, Scientist at DST, Govt. of India, discussing the role of technological innovation in advancing society. Round Table discussions on “Smart, Sustainable, & Resilient Cities & Communities” and “Education for Life” focused on sustainable development and the future of education.
Dr. Shubhra Dutta from Elsevier concluded with a session on the latest trends in research publication and data analysis, rounding off an insightful symposium.
