Team bi0s from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, participated in BSides Delhi 2018 on October 26, 2018.
BSides is a community-driven global movement that aims to increase InfoSec awareness, provide low-to-no-cost education, initiate conversations, and foster community and collaboration. These events are already happening in major cities all over the world. The BSides Delhi event was held on October 26, 2018, and included technical talks, workshops and sub-events/villages.
Student speaker, Siddharth Muralee from Semster 6 of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, gave a talk on ‘Finding Memory Bugs with the AddressSanitizer’, in which he highlighted what sanitizers are and how they work. He also detailed the workings of the AddressSanitizer and its implementation in the NetBSD kernel.
A brand new beginner-friendly CTF was also conducted online in parallel with the conference, sponsored by HackerOne and hosted by Team bi0s with the active participation of about 500 teams.
