The research work of Dr. Manu Raj, Professor, Department of Paediatrics, Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi and Dr. Krishnakumar R., Head of Department and Professor, Pediatric Cardiology, Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi, titled ‘Health-Related Quality of Life in Infants and Toddlers with Congenital Heart Disease: A Cross-Sectional Survey from South India’, has been selected as editor’s choice for the upcoming February 2018 issue of the British Medical Journal (BMJ), Archives of Disease in Childhood (Impact factor 3.27).
This selection provides open access to the submitted research globally and has a waiver of GBP 2000 as open access fee. The research title will appear on the front cover of the upcoming issue. In addition, there is an editorial section referring to the relevance of research work.
The published study is a multiphase cohort study with both hospital based and community components and researchers recruited over 2000 infants and children during the study’s full conduct of four years. The research was funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research.
