AmritaCREATE, a research initiative from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, organized a one-day workshop on Online Labs for School Lab Experiments at St. Stephen’s School, Togan, Punjab, on January 21, 2017. Twenty-five science teachers from twelve different schools attended the workshop.
Mr. Chandrashekhar, staff member of AmritaCREATE, led the training session. He explained the significance of Online Labs project to the audience. After the demo session, all the participants were taken to the computer lab of the school. Each participant was given a chance to explore the contents of OLabs website. After the training sessions, free Online Labs CDs and certificates of participation were distributed to the participants.
“The training was given in a well elaborated sequential manner. The content of the website will certainly enable teachers and students to have better understanding of the experimental part,” commented Ms. Megha Sharma, Mount Carmel School.
“The session was informative. The website helps to make our lab experiments easy in less time. It gives all the information regarding the different experiments. We can explore and learn many things about a particular experiment by assessing the website,” remarked Ms. Anny Dhiman, Ryan International School.
