Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s best practices such as Outcome-Based Education (OBE) implementation and Live-in-Labs experiential learning program were showcased at the International Engineering Alliance Meetings (IEAM) 2024 held at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel, Gurugram, Delhi NCR on 10 June 2024. The presentation also highlighted Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chancellor, AMMA’s vision of education, in terms of 3 pillars, namely education for life, compassion-driven research and global impact. Amrita’s presentation was delivered by Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Vice-Chairman, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore campus in the IEAM general assembly. 153 delegates from 35 countries participated in the IEAM meetings consisting of sessions devoted to international agreements and accords such as Washington, Sydney and Dublin, that enhance global mobility and recognition of engineering educational qualifications and professional competence. The event was organized by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), a permanent signatory of Washington Accord which is an international agreement among bodies responsible for accrediting undergraduate engineering degree programs. A booth of Amrita University, manned by Mr. Amardeep Yadav of Amrita Center for Rankings & Accreditation (CARE) and Mr. Bhanu Sood of the university’s NCR office also attracted many visitors. The Amrita team also interacted with Dr. Anil Sahashrabudhe, Chairman of NBA & NAAC, who visited the university’s booth along with several international delegates.
