Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, participated as a resource person at the 7th World Ayurveda Congress held at Kolkata from 30th November to 4th December, 2016, at the Science City, Kolkata.
He delivered a lecture on the topic, “Status Update on Research in Ayurveda”, during the Plenary Session on Research in Ayurveda. He also delivered a lecture in the Plenary Session on Education in Ayurveda focusing on the topic “Building Research into the Curriculum of Ayurveda”.
Dr. Manohar led the brainstorming session on modulation of Lifestyle and Diet in accordance with the seasons during the International Delegates Assembly and participated in the closed meeting of the Editors of Ayurveda Journals.
He was an invited speaker on the topic, “Zoology, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine in Ancient India”, during the 2nd International Seminar on Veterinary Medicine in Ayurveda, held at the University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata, as part of the 7th World Ayurveda Congress.
The World Ayurveda Congress is the largest gathering in the field of Ayurveda with nearly 4000 delegates participating in various events. Hundreds of thousands of people attend the Arogya Expo held along with World Ayurveda Congress.
