Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham participated in the prestigious QS Quacquarelli Symonds India Summit 2025 at Goa from 27 to 29 January 2025.  The summit’s theme was ‘Creating Equitable Educational Partnerships Amid Global Uncertainties: India’s Role in Fostering Innovation and Research’ and the summit saw the participation of 400+ academic leaders such as chancellors, presidents,  vice-presidents, vice-chancellors, provosts,  registrars,  deans, and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) directors and heads from universities from 30+ countries.  QS India Summit is a prestigious annual event that brings together global leaders from academia, industry, and government to explore the transformative power of collaboration in Indian higher education. This summit featured a series of high-level panels focusing on pertinent issues shaping India’s higher education landscape. Distinguished speakers included Her Excellency Smt. Anandiben Patel; Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh;  His Excellency Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, Hon’ble Governor of Goa; Lord Johnson of Marylebone, Former Minister of State for Universities and Science, United Kingdom (UK); Dr. T G Sitharam, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE),  Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, President, Association of Indian Universities (AIU); Dr. Fanta Aw, Executive Director, and CEO, NAFSA Association of International Educators, USA and Ms. Lindy Cameron CB OBE, British High Commissioner to India, who highlighted Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s best practice, Live-in-Labs and Amrita’s successful partnerships with UK universities at the summit.   Various international universities that participated in the summit included the Universities of Canterbury & Waikato from New Zealand; Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Deakin, La Trobe & Southern Cross Universities from Australia; Universities of Exeter, Newcastle, Durham, York, Surrey,  Sussex, Edinburgh, Liverpool & Southampton from the UK, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel; Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany; Wageningen University & Research, Netherlands etc.Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Head,  IQAC, of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, represented the university at the summit.  He also interacted with several speakers including  Lord Johnson, Dr. Fanta Aw, and others at the summit.
